I took it as an affirmation that being a feminist doesn’t make you less of a man. Instead of phrasing it as a double negative “it’s not unmanly to call out misogyny…” they went with the simpler but potentially misleading phrasing in the screenshot.
Yeah, I think perhaps I’m taking a less charitable view of the phrasing than I could. I just tend to bristle a bit at what feels like gender proscriptive phrasing. “Stand against mysogny, even if nobody is watching.” would be more inclusive.
Your criticism is completely reasonable, if the author didn’t meant to be proscriptive a change in wording would help them get their message across. As it is, there’s a lot of room for interpretation!
