I evolved from a monkey.
I want to help the fediverse grow, but I have the tendency to get into arguments and say things in the heat of the moment that I later regret, which I feel is counterproductive to the whole fedigrow thing. So I’m working on trying make sure I have more good vibes around here.
My other account is @ageedizzle@piefed.ca

Some type CAPTCHA type puzzle. Maybe ask users how many Rs are in ‘strawberry’ before they can proceed

In theory, you could imagine a totally unconscious intelligence, that can make intelligent decisions but has no conscious experiences / is not sentient. Of course I don’t know if such a system would be actually possible. But it is at least conceptually possible to separate the two ideas (consciousness/sentience vs intelligence)

Thats very interesting. Did he just retire after that or start doing something else?
I don’t know what the average yard size is in your area, but in general I doubt front yards would provide enough land to sustain everyone. I might be wrong though so it still would be an interest f experiment just to see if it could work

Oh thats a shame. If this hadn’t occurred would Apple be more friendly to open source these days?
How do you even type on that thing

What plane crash are you talking about here? I’m out of the loop

The cheapest places to live would be Quebec. If you speak French, that’s the place to be.
After that Manitoba and Saskatchewan are fairly cheap. They are slightly less wealthy than other provinces, and the winters can be brutal, but overall they are very homey and community oriented provinces (at least Manitoba is, I assume Saskatchewan would be similar).
Newfoundland is another possible cheap option. It’s not as cheap as Manitoba or Saskatchewan, and it gets way less sun + way more rain, but it’s very scenic. Lots of cool outdoorsy stuff to see if you go there. New Brunswick is probably also relatively cheap but I haven’t looked in a while so it would be good to compare.
Check out this website here (just skip the sign up option) to compare the cost of living of specific cities.

I doubt that Carney is actually trying to get us to join the EU right now. He would need a strong public mandate to do something like that, and right now he doesn’t have that

Okay thanks for the info

Haha okay. Thanks for the info!

Good to know thank you! Piefed seems to be doing a lot to help the fediverse grow, so thank you for your service 🫡
Now that the issue is fixed I need to make a new account or will it work with the old account too? Also I noticed that my profile photo from my old account isn’t federating haha, but that’s a very minor issue so I’m not too concerned about it haha

If I had posted this on Miskey would that have allowed Lemmy users and Mastodon users to interact?

I tested this. It works perfectly fine. We can implement this today and remove it when Mastodon supports threadiverse conversations better (I’ll try to make that happen.)
Wow that’s a really proactive response, thank you! Please keep me posted on how it goes

I see it

Here a community for you to do more test : !testfediverse@jlai.lu
This is a useful too, thank you

I always an avid user of piefed.ca but I had to quit because most of my comments weren’t federating anymore due to some corrupted data issue
Edit: misread your comment. You jut mean posting to the community. Gotchu
Yeah their excessive use of lists and tables is also something common to LLMs. Sometimes you ask an LLM a basic question and then it responds with all these unnecessary tables and lists, and then clarifications of the previous tables and lists with more tables and lists, then a summary of all these tables and lists with another list… It’s a lot. If a person were using that many tables and lists in their day to day texting then I’d assume that they were suffering from a psychotic episode
