Best thing about cats is you’ll soon find out whether the cat likes the hat or not. If they don’t, it’ll just be abandoned on the floor somewhere. If they do, you are never ever getting that hat back.

40 year old she/her or they/them or any pronoun. I’m a woman… I think. I pretend to be an elf on the Internet. Lesbian-leaning bi, mostly attracted to femininity in all its beautiful forms.
I use tone indicators.

Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•How do I torrent safely in the US if I can't afford a VPN?English
16·24 hours agoI would suggest don’t.
For downloading, look at DDL sites.
For uploading, if you can’t do it safely, don’t. Stash it all, make backups, keep it until you can do it safely.
Achievement unlocked: someone stole my anti-meme and reposted it :)
I’m flattered!
Correct, it was the world-famous* Pudsey market!

Based on your instance I’m pretty sure you’ve never been here.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Some meetings don't even need to be e-mails.English
2·2 days agoYep, this is one of those meetings, except the “doc” is an admin’s e-mail address, and we don’t find out what’s on the agenda until we turn up.
I suspect it’s job security for the admin, and it’s half an hour a week I don’t have to break down pallets, so I’m ok with it.

0·24 days agoI don’t use Firefox any more. I was one of their early adopters (back when it was Firebird IIRC), but a few months ago I’d just flat had enough of their shady stuff and AI bullshit. I used Librewolf for a while but gave up on it because privacy at the price of compatibility is fine until you need something that relies on that compatibility. I haven’t settled on a forever browser just yet, I’m kinda waiting until Servo becomes a viable web engine and browsers built on it emerge. For now, Vivaldi seems to be the least-bad.
