Trump is clearly going to wait until the Winter Olympics end on the 22nd to launch the Iran War, I don’t know why everyone is freaking out it would be bad television to step on the Winter Olympics with starting the war too soon, well that is unless the US isn’t allowed to get enough Gold Medals… but then that will be the rest of the world’s fault won’t it?
They don’t have the capability for regime change in Iran, and don’t have the support if that’s what you are suggesting. They can blow shit up with impunity, assassinate their leaders, including their ayatollah, it will only harden the will of their people to rally around the flag.
Iran is not Iraq, it’s bigger, it’s mountainous, and we don’t have the support publicly for an invasion that would need a million people for even an understaffed iraq equivalent invasion.
They could occupy strategic parts around the Straits, which they might well be planning on. Prepare for oil to skyrocket. Iran should’ve closed off trade and spiked oil the first time. I presume they are able to shut off trade through the gulf despite them not doing it last time.
The country will not be regime changed though. Even if they get new leaders for the old regime as they assassinate them.
