I have no idea what’s the name of this one.
Edit: Thanks to the info from @rozlav@lemmy.blahaj.zone, this is the Stropharia caerulea, commonly known as the blue roundhead.
Edit2: Another update on what we are looking at thanks to @oftheair@lemmy.blahaj.zone: It might also be Stropharia aeruginosa, commonly known as the blue-green stropharia
Looks like a frost shroom
Last night we had about 2 °C here. Soon there will be frost.
And they call wavy caps “cyanescens”
Gorgeous, but every instinct I have is screaming that is poisonous.
Yeah, that looks like it could be used as a visual metaphor in Snow White for the preparation of the apple
Exactly what I thought when I saw it.

Wooly Neptune!!
Gorgeous, is what it should be named. Nice shot.
Thanks!
Came here to say almost exactly this :)
Are you sure it’s not: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stropharia_aeruginosa ?
Thank you! It really looks very similar and it grew on dead spruce wood, too.
(/▽\) Maybe !!!

Ediblity unknown? OP, you know what you need to do. We need answers.
So I searched a little bit and according to my mushroom-page of trust it is edible: https://www.123pilzsuche.de/daten/details/BlauerTraeuschling.htm (in german).
There it says, that some people do not stomach it well but in general it does not have an exciting flavor and is best be added to other mushrooms. A bit underwhelming…
I will not eat it. xD
Thank you for the info! Amazing work.
First pic I’ve seen on here that made me draw a quick breath. Holy. Shit.
Wowza! What a beaut!
Talk about fruiting body.
Can you eat it without dying? Will you get high from it? Haha
Gorgeous 💜
