She actually said that she thinks he’s doing a great job at the border, because it doesn’t really have an effect on her. The SNAP benefits do, so she regrets her vote. Yikes, these people are so selfish.

I’m convinced an utter lack of empathy is the reason why there’s a constant 40% support of Trump.

How many times do you read stories about some Republican politician or right winger suddenly be not as horrid toward “the gays” because their kid came out? (Admittedly, that seems to happen a whole lot less now)

These people just can’t put themselves in the shoes of anyone who isn’t exactly like them.

These people just can’t put themselves in the shoes of anyone who isn’t exactly like them.

For me it’s not even that, I’m geeedy, i want a stable, happy society because that makes for a happy life for me. I don’t want to have to deal with homeless when I walk down the street, so I want social housing and healthcare for them. I don’t want unwanted children in society, so women haveing total control over reproduction is vital.

Any modicum of reseach can show you the dangers in society when there are large levels of wealth inequality, it literally destroys society, so i want high taxation of wealth and high death taxes and legislation to restrict incomes and capital.

Any sane person looks at cars and tranportation and the deaths from pollution, noise, urban sprawl, accidents and destroying the enviorment, so i want decent cheap electric public transport and cycling infrastructure.

I know when i travel, visas and borders are fuxking annoying and i don’t want them at all. People only up and move from their family and friends if something toxic is happening , so let them, I’d want the same thing for me

I’m the anthesies of most people it seems, I was conservative when I was young, had a STEM degree but the more i read and observe the more I understand most conservative view points are mostly toxic to a livable society.

Religion should never be involved in state affairs, including ALL education, it’s pernicious, people should be horrified to see “In God we Trust” in their justice sustem but here we are.

They think empathy is the greatest sin, yet so many of them claim to be followers of Christ. The cognitive dissonance is just off the charts.

It’s really funny how much they embody the Pharisees despite claiming to follow Christ.

If these people had any media literacy they’d realize they’re exactly like the people Christ was against.

On the daily they had one WV resident literally saying “if we go hungry I’ll have to resort to any means necessary to eat” and I very nearly drove into a fucking pole yelling at the radio.

Like holy fucking shit, what a way to figure out that social safety nets are tools which preserve social order and not just some feel good charity. If only someone had been explaining this to you constantly for literally a fucking century.

Uhhhh, watch the video, she doesn’t really regret voting for him nor does she state she won’t in the future.

This is: the leopard should stop eating my face, I like it eating other people’s faces. I’ll keep supporting said leopard but it better stop!

The headline is clickbait and false by omission, even in the text of the article.

When you actually watch the interview, she says she regrets her vote “in terms of food insecurity” but can’t help immediately pivoting to “he’s doing a great job with the border.” (Presumably, his great job at the southern border in…Portland Oregon.) When asked if it will affect her voting decisions, she hems and haws that it “depends” on the administration’s response.

So in reality: She barely regrets one part of her vote but declines to say she regrets her vote overall. I’m guessing she’ll be voting straight ticket for Trump’s third term or whatever her feed tells her to.

And that’s the best she can do for her daughter, a diabetic who is on SNAP. Lots of self-reflection going on here.

“If you’re the wrong jersey color we don’t care if you starve.”

Helluva campaign slogan, Dems. You totally don’t need those votes in 2026 and beyond.

If you voted for people to suffer, don’t expect sympathy when you suffer at the hands of who you voted for

A lot of them didn’t vote for people to suffer.

They voted for change because Democrats prioritized genocide over helping American families’ ability to put food on the table.

To even come to that logic in the first place you’d have to be fine with him stating he’s going to be a dictator and be fine with his racism and ties to Epstein.

So… I don’t buy the bullshit that they didn’t vote for people to suffer. That’s the Republican talking point used to gaslight those that accuse them of being racists. Equivalent of that’s not a Nazi salute its our hearts go out to you.

Try a different audience that will fall for it. Not here.

This is not LAMF. The SNAP benefits are being affected by a government shutdown, and Trump obviously was never campaigning on or making a promise to shut down the government, so the first condition of LAMF (supporting the politician’s promise to do X) literally can’t be met.

If your implication is that his failure to make a deal caused the government shutdown, that only supports my point more. Failing altogether to deliver on a campaign promise also is mutually exclusive with a LAMF situation.

You can’t have a ‘he promised to do X, I assumed he’d do it to these other people only even though he didn’t say that, and now he’s doing it to me’ situation, if X never gets done in the first place.
