Somewhere, somehow, I slipped and fell into The Onion.
You reach the right conclusion at first but then fail to realize this wasn’t skipped because they thought it was bullshit – otherwise it would be waived across the board.
Regardless of if they were accidentally correct, this has mens rea written all over it. They wish to normalize blatant corruption, and you’re giving that to them.
Trump is inconsistent with Christian principles in the same way that Jon Brower Minnoch was inconsistent with proper dieting. What the fuck?

47·7 days agoFor a solid 10 seconds, I was transported to a reality where Mozilla shunted development of Rust off to some random studio who were removing Linux support because it wasn’t in the budget.
Wow, this is so true. I’m going to stop maintaining my relationships because anyone I know could get hit by a bus tomorrow. I’m also done with that stupid coursework, because what if I suffer a catastrophic brain injury that makes me forget everything I learned? I’m going to go rob a bank because the police could come and frame me for murder any day now. And I think I’m going to go jump off a cliff because death comes for us all anyway.

4·13 days agoA big part of that attitude is simply that you’re more likely to take care of those big tasks you’ve been putting off when you’re on the upswing away from depression. So it feels good unto itself, but you’re probably also in a mood that’s more conducive to feeling rewarded than a deep depression.
TL;DR: Cause and effect feeding off of each other.
2·24 days agoThere’s only so much incessant bitching I can hear about dark patterns, intrusive automatic updates, shoehorned-in and useless AI, zero user choice, planned obsolesence, and being blindsided by enshittification before I say “just try using the free thing that doesn’t have those problems”.
“I’ve tried nothing, and I’m all out of ideas.” If you have to for work or something, though, I totally get it and encourage the bitching.
Yeah, it looks like a set from a deleted Scarface scene, and I don’t mean that in a good way – it’s exactly as convincing as it has to be to fool the audience.
