minus-squarePotatoesFall@discuss.tchncs.delinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·2 days agoYear, Month, Day, which is better because it’s sortable
minus-squareu/lukmly013 💾 (lemmy.sdf.org)@lemmy.sdf.orglinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·2 days agoSure. And I like to sort by month.
minus-squareByteJunk@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4·2 days agoThat’s one of the weirdest kinks I’ve seen, but I guess you should do you… thumbs up
minus-squareViking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up0·2 days agoThat’s ISO 8601. While I’ll concede that it’s the best one for sorting thinks that span more than a year, such as the photos on your phone, DMY makes much more sense for everything else.
minus-squarePotatoesFall@discuss.tchncs.delinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 day agoOkay I totally see your perspective and I could stop there but I love arguing so let me play devil’s advocate here. The year is most important, especially if you assume it’s the current year but it turns out not to be: The important party is tomorrow, next year. Your last doctors checkup was three weeks ago, ten years ago.
minus-squarearrow74@lemmy.ziplinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up0·2 days agoSeriously DMY is the way to go. I forget what day it is, generally I know the month and year.
minus-squareZiglin (it/they)@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·2 days agoWhen looking at things older than 6 months the year is immediately more relevant to me than the day.
