“I’ve never heard of this woman” is perhaps the most scathing thing ever said about a former UK Prime Minister

I’m gonna be real, my ability to detect satire has been thoroughly eroded over the last decade
… because surely nobody would check.
If offering the same flexibility to everybody is viable: yes. sure. don’t restrict people just for shits and giggles.
But some businesses need people to be available at all times, and those businesses can handle letting some of their staff take time off on short notice or work during very specific hours only, but they can not handle giving the same consideration to everybody.
In those cases, preferential treatment for those who need it most is the right choice imo.
(Just abolishing work is, at this point in time, not viable.)

1·3 days agoI assume the term “bitch” got blocked because in one context, it is a sexist insult.
The thing is, it wasn’t used in that context here.
So to me, this is at least spiritually adjacent to the Scunthorpe problem.
i’m just glad we are being extremely normal about women’s bodies in this thread and not fetishizing complete strangers in public
As a trans woman, I agree! Being beholden to the whims of employers sucks for everybody, and everybody deserves a solution.
But also, give me $1000 right now so i can feed my crippling addiction to tailoring gadgets.

Pretty sure it’s a dig at QAnon

532·7 days agoBug reports are contributions from people who try to help your project. I don’t go to Github issues to complain - i can do that on socials. I do it as a service for the devs, to make them aware of an issue they may not yet be aware of.
Treating issue reporters like this is just disrespectful of the work they are trying to contribute.
Note that this message only appears AFTER someone has already gone through the work of writing an error report. At that point, just throwing their work into the toilet SUCKS.
