  • What trouble? archinstall makes it dead simple to get on your computer, then at that point it’s not much different from any other distro?

I’d sooner ask why people choose shit like Ubuntu where you’re stuck dealing with snaps out-of-date packages, and bloat.

I used Debian and Ubuntu for like 20 years and just got sick of packages being forever out of date, and the Archwiki always having exactly what I needed.

  • On the one hand, the risks associated with different modes of transport are incommensurate. A car that runs a red light can cause serious or even fatal injuries. A cyclist, on the other hand, is unlikely to cause the same degree of damage.

The fuck? They may not cause the same degree of damage, but they’re gonna get fucked up by a car that is following the law and has a green light if the two meet in an intersection…

This whole thing seems like it’s less a case of “bikers should run lights” and more a case of “cities need to be reviewed and many intersections should be updated with yield signs or traffic circles.”

  • /r/conservative and /r/conspiracy are still open… What a fucking shit-ass website. I don’t get why they don’t just # rm -rf the whole fucking thing already.

Clearly they’re pissed that people are still using the site. They’ve made efforts to stop it by making shit redesigns, releasing a shitty app, user profiles, shutting off the API and trying to force people to use their shit app.

They must be seething that people are still using it and they’ve found a new way to try to get people to stop. Of course, they could shut the site down, but these are execs we’re talking about - their forté is ignoring every elephant in the room and then creating “solutions” that completely miss the problem.
