got it thanks the SSD I tried this with in the first try was fairly old. I bought a new one now but it hadn’t arrived yet I will try this again once it arrives

It might be have been my SSD it was old and faulty I bought a new one online but it hadn’t arrived yet to test it again

I will update the post with the results and my final solution. for now the new SSD I bought online hadn’t arrived yet to test this the older one I used before was kinda faulty I decided to buy a new one with a USB 3.2 enclosure

I want to dual boot but not on the same SSD it’s just trouble. Separate disk and efi partition for windows is the way but my device has no more spare connectors inside. That’s why I want to run windows in a external SSD connected via Thunderbolt.

Yes it does and it’s great but it does not support setting up “Windows to Go”

I have never used Bitlocker before and I’ll keep it off. Also yes some else mentioned I can just use dd I’ll look into it thanks

wine won’t cut it for CAD software unfortunately

Thanks I’ll look into it

I’ll look into it thanks

I saw that side of Burritos video it was overkill for me I have 3 profiles 1.owner: most of the apps I use are here (but no sandboxed Google play) these apps are 95% FOSS some are not but I needed them to be easily accessible 2. Financial profile: all banking and other financial stuff are here this profile also has sandboxed Google play so all of these apps are installed through Google play and updated easily 3. Dumb big tech profile: the stupid and time consuming proprietary social media and messaging and meta apps that I might need every once in a while are here this profile also has sandboxed Google play. That’s it hope it was helpful.

Flash drive performance gonna be abysmal. If you want to try it on day I suggest a dedicated external SSD connected via USB 3 atleast

Ok will check wine db

Thanks yes trying wine or winboat is my last option

Have you ever tried running Solidworks or Fusion 360 or Ansys or other Autodesk software in a vm? Painful is all I can say

Thanks I know I can’t use it on multiple hardware. I plan to use it with a single laptop

Thanks I know there is wintousb software but it is also Windows specific I don’t have Windows around to use it

You sure WintoUSB is not Windows specific software?

Thanks Yes this is what I was thinking to try next if I run out of options
First try to fix your phone instead of buying you can easily replace the battery if that’s not desirable then get a pixel 9 series phone (if you want pixel 10 then you have to wait for GrapheneOS support for it comes along) and install GrapheneOS on it (don’t be intimidated it’s a super easy and straightforward process)
