Feel like that’s a bit of a straw man - Lenin didn’t claim that his contribution to Marxist theory constituted naming a new ideology after himself.

It was after his death that the idea that his work had advanced understanding of Marxism enough and that it had led to a revolution that that it should be an ideology.

There’s plenty of authors of Marxist theory that don’t end up in -isms but still have very valuable contributions.

This is coming from someone who thinks the “anarchist don’t read theory” thing is overplayed as most of the IRL anarchists I know do read theory.

You’re not helping them long term which was the point of the Sankara quote.

It forces these countries to be dependent on food aid rather than self sufficient which means that if they try to go even somewhat against neoliberalism and actually raise the living standards and wages of their people the US then pulls the aid (as well as likely aiding armed groups to kill the leadership) in order to force the government out and installing comprador regimes in its place.

Pretty good season overall!

I thought about it a bit after my other comments and I think this one actually probably isn’t the best to start the season if you don’t watch the other show. I was a little biased since I have seen it.

Not fully caught up yet but I will say the rest of the season matches their old stuff a lot more and I’ve enjoyed it.
