If you buy one, make sure you train with it. Just basic safety and target shooting. People think they can just have something on a shelf and grab it in an emergency but that is dangerous for them and those around them.

Also want to throw out building a garden if you have some dirt and networking with like minded people.

Could the excess sodium used for carbon sequestration? Sodium bicarbonate is baking soda but I don’t know what it could be used for aside from baking or if the energy to capture that carbon would even be a net positive.

TNR is tough work. Glad you’re helping out. I’ve had 21 cats from my area TNR’d and have more still to do but every bit helps. Where I’m at, I’m given a huge discount thanks to grants just due to the number of cats I’ve brought in but it’s still a lot. They actually just lowered it again for me. Good luck with everything and I hope some kind people can donate.
