I like to clean up the kitchen/dishes during downtime. Like when the dough needs to rise for an hour is a perfect opportunity to clean up. Plus it gives you space for the next step in the baking process.

Visiting my parents this week for Thanksgiving. Last night my dad asked when I’m going to get my hair cut (I started growing it out three years ago to donate; I still fully intend to do that, but I also grew it out for me). When I mentioned early next year, he said guys are going to start hitting on me soon, then laughed.
While I’m sure he was trying to shame me with that comment, I’ll take it as a compliment since it means I’m looking pretty fem now. So I’m happy.
