Preach fellow Xer!
Well, I do things, so I need a printer. I don’t have time to wait to get somewhere to print.
You can’t fool me, these are the early shots from Californication.

Look at Mr. Neurotypical here! 🖕

Not everyone is like you, don’t assume they approach the shower the way you do.
I’ve solved long-standing technical work problems in the shower.

I’m not busting your balls, seriously, I’m just jealous of people who have a memory like yours.
My mother is like you - she remembers the entire grocery list, and has never in her life written one, so I grew up not knowing about making lists - and I have zero short-term (working) memory. This means unless I work very hard at moving things to long-term memory they’re just lost. I don’t even remember the last thing I said in a conversation.

81·1 day agoSpectrum doesn’t mean the average person experiences the regular disruption to their lives.
“Spectrum” refers to how much it interferes with a person’s ability to function.
The average person also doesn’t have the comorbidities - so clearly they don’t have “a little ADHD”.

61·1 day agoExactly.
Everyone certainly experience aspects of ADHD (distraction, loss of focus, etc) to some degree during their lives, but not on a continuous basis, sufficient to disrupt their lives.
People who say dumb shit like this can kiss my ass. They need to have their dominant arm tied behind their back for a month, just to get some idea how difficult it can be.

2·2 days agoEnglish does have more loanwords than most languages have words.
But it’s still a Germanic language with a similar origin as modern German. If I remember correctly, they both stem from some proto-Germanic language and they continued development independently of each other.

7·2 days agoYea, no.
There’s not a single valid linguist that would agree. It’s very clearly a Germanic language, with French being the single largest influence courtesy of the Norman Conquests.
“Four score and twenty years ago” - nowhere else in English do you find this number construction, only by someone who speaks French (such as Lincoln, Jefferson, Franklin, etc).

2·3 days agoTo be fair, the pro plan is for the non-local stuff, which is at least understandable as domains and resolution services are non-free.
Also ongoing development takes resources. Seems like a reasonable approach.

0·8 days agoUse less detergent than you think you need
This can’t be said enough. You typically need 1/4 or less than what’s on a measuring cup.
And make sure your water is at least 65°, which is where the detergent becomes more effective.
Also, clothes don’t need to be washed every time they’re worn, depending. Like jeans rarely need washing. Underwear, t-shirts, socks, that sort of thing need to be washed all the time.

Cooking together is like dancing - both have to pay attention to, and complement, their partner’s movements.
I have friends who’s kitchen work as a couple is as amazing to watch as great ballroom dancers, but with hot things and sharp knives.
