The world comes to a halt for a day or two. You get to take your kids sledding, you build a snow man. You have a snowball fight. You get cold and wet. You go home to get changed into your warm pyjamas and sit by the fire with a hot chocolate. You’re exhausted, but you laugh and joke with each other about the fun you’ve had.
You go back to work 2 days later and fuck all has changed. The world keeps turning, the rich have lost a tiny bit of their wealth from you not been ‘productive’ for 1 day. Oh fucking well.
We’re so bound up in keeping the big capitalism wheel turning, that life’s fun moments just pass us by.
