I do retouching work. Recently lost a client to an ‘AI’ retouching firm. When the client came back to me to fix loads of stuff and I looked at the output, it became apparent that the work had actually just been outsourced to India and there was no magic AI solution.

Gen AI is an amazing tool but not a one click solution like so many are claiming.

Wildlife photography really is mostly about the equipment though. And waiting/being in the right place obviously. But I can tell you from experience, a novice can absolutely produce pictures like this with the right equipment.

Cheap phone from 2019 is better than medium format film wat?! Better than 35mm film?! I dont see it.

While I appreciate the sentiment, in the industries I’m working in, people are being hired because of their AI portfolios, not despite it.

Yeah from my experience mothers-to-be assume they’re being asked to be induced as a standard procedure so the hospital can organise their schedule better. Not because of a particular medical necessity.

Maybe lemon tek method might help. Or just find some DMT or 2-CB, which have been by far the strongest visuals for me.

Isn’t going overdue super common and not necessarily anything to worry about, saying your baby WILL die if you go overdue seems wild to me.

I’ve been happy after moving from Sony/Samsung to Hisense.

Yeah I can see why they’d not implement it, not even that interested in AR, it’s just a nice QOL feature that I’d miss.

Sad about the monochrome passthrough but otherwise pretty hyped for more VR hardware. The Index was a disappointment to me so glad to see it’s more in line with the Quest 3, especially the controllers. They look perfect.

As a Giger fan I would like to remind everyone that the guy bought a fucking castle and made it into an amazing musuem. It’s also in Gruyere so if you happen to also like cheese you’re gonna have the best day ever.
