1·7 days agoI have never had anyone “require” it of me… I’ve had a few ask me about it, and I said I don’t use it… No more problem there, we find another way to communicate.

12·7 days agoOh, you are truly ignorant - sorry to hear that.
Literally everyone I know, is not on WhatsApp… And most of those I have known to use it, don’t anymore… Why would you, really? You do know that change start with you, right? Or are you too ignorant to know that?

Greedy tech should pay. No question about it.
Annoying experience you’ve had there.
I have never had any problem. I have my own domain names, I host them privately and on a webhotel. And then I use Thunderbird - and it just works.

I’m danish…
Signal is far better to use than WhatsApp or any other messaging app controlled by big tech like Apple, Google, Microsoft, Google (Alphabet), Facebook and so forth. But Google knows what you write on your phone on Android. Don’t kid yourself on that point.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Out of ten, how would you rate your ability to empathize with people with opposing viewpoints?
1·12 days ago10 - I can feel empathy for every human being. That doesn’t mean that I’ll accept their views, and if they are someone who would hurt others, I will certainly stop them - even with force. That’s empathy too…
Do you know what empathy is? How you practice it? How you train it?

Linux@lemmy.ml•What software do you use to aggregate email in a single interface?
1·15 days agoThunderbird - on my PC and Mobile… Always worked flawlessly - both with my different mail-services and my own domain name mail server…
Firefox is fine in private mode. The other apps are just made for that single purpose. I don’t use reddit that much. Firefox is fine for me.

Well, how did it become that way? If it is that way…
And don’t worry, you are excused.
