One that I remember is that I had heard the song “believer” a number of times before learning its name, I always thought they were saying “pick me up and pick me up and leave me, and leave me”. I don’t think I even tried to decypher the rest lol

I think the “proper” way to simplify it is would’ve, which is pronounced the same as ‘would of’

A lot of mistakes have just become incorporated into the language in the past. Maybe ‘would of’ is just too blatantly wrong for that to ever happen though

Maybe not really a ‘mistake’, more of a normal shortening but my personal favorite english-ism is “bye” being descended directly from “god be with you”. People just kept collapsing it more and more over time.

Edit: also “a pease” -> “peas” -> “a pea”

Up to a certain extent, until it just becomes a storefront that takes 70%+ of your money instead of 30% (steam, app stores) 10% (epic) or 0% (self-published, etc)

Are there really any 32-bit era games that your CPU can’t handle, especially if you have a $1k+ gpu? This post is honestly pretty misleading as it implies modern versions of PhysX don’t work, when they actually do.

That being said, it doesn’t make all that much sense as a decision, doubles are rare in most GPU code anyways (as they are very slow), NVIDIA is just being lazy and doesn’t want to write the drivers for that

Well, at least you aren’t on mac where 32 bit things just don’t launch at all… (I think they might be playable through wine, but even in the x86 era MacOS didn’t natively run any 32 bit games or software, so games like Portal 2 or TF2 for example just didn’t work even though they had a MacOS version)
