Its because they think most humans are useless eaters, and this is based on the idea that your human value is connected to how much money you make.

They also think most humans are dumb and just doesnt contribute anything.

The idea that humans can be here to just enjoy their life is something they absolutely despise.

Its a good idea so people dont have to reinvent the wheel, but we need to be very careful and make sure its not forcing the fediverse to become less open and less anonymous.

I work alone building stuff, because I like doing it my way without compromises.

We are going in that direction. Data centers being built all over the place is the very foundation for tracking every human on the planet.

I think future generations will not have any ability to go online, shop, work or live without a real id tracking everything about them.

You voice your concerns about something unpopular online, you may be blocked from taking a loan or work a job. Fear of stating your true opinion will be everywhere.

Its nice that you live like that. Sounds very cool, but cars are there for a reason… :) People need to actually get their stuff done quickly and conveniently.

Sure, all the downsides you mentioned are there, but lets not be blind to the enormous upsides that you can literally go anywhere without effort or being exposed to the weather.

A lot of things break on cars that old, so any buyer has to be a bit stupid to pay that price…

I buy one maybe a few times per year. Its also a very good gift to someone. You get a bit of excitement together and there is always that tiny chance of winning.

For me the car meant i felt like a grown up with tons of freedom. I can go anywhere, see anything.

I used to feel like you until i got one. But now, no way im ever living without one again. Its a life upgrade you cant go back from.
