I bet people who know exactly who and what GWAR is, decided to do this as a promotion for GWAR, its just way too obvious. GWAR has been on fox news, its well known they do this, and the fact that the outrage was over musk and not trump goes to show whoever started it knew there would be a response pointing out they’ve done it to ALL the former presidents. It just seems so unlikely that anyone would see a gwar show and think “if only more people saw* this, they’d be canceled”, there’s just no way.
They’ve been killing musk since at least may of this year so even that isn’t new. Honestly after this I kind of hope they do make one of Charlie Kirk just to keep the rage going, but honestly I don’t think kirk was that well known until after he lost his last debate.

Screenshots of the now-deleted post appear to show that Coyne, who was in attendance at Riot Fest, wrote the following in reaction to GWAR’s stunt:
“Riot Fest, it’s always so … Interesting. Could’ve done without all the politics from the stage but it was fun nonetheless. Apparently we can’t even go to concerts now without the political divide being tossed in our faces. We’ll still go back but it was obnoxious.”
The organizers behind Riot Fest said it the best, really:
