    Books of The Times:

a vignette describing Mr. Nixon’s lack of mechanical ability, in which a Presidential aide, Stephen Bull, recounts having once been asked by the President to open an allergy‐pill bottle with teeth marks on its childproof cap where Mr. Nixon had apparently tried to gnaw it open.

On another note: The Poison Prevention Packaging Act of 1970 (PPPA) was signed into law by Richard Nixon on 1970

To be fair to Nixon… some of those “press-down-and-twist” bottle caps could be really difficult to open while others wasn’t. I remember old people especially complaining about them way back then - they were next-to-impossible to open for somebody with arthritic wrists.

They are rare here in South Africa these days - they’ve pretty much been replaced by the “line-up-the-arrows” type lids.

My number #1 example when people say nobody as deranged and idiotic as Trump has ever been USA president before… Sorry pal, it’s pretty standard.
