There are certainly people that exist who try and live exorbitantly, putting things on credit that will just bury them eventually. That said, this is entirely tone deaf/gaslighting “advice” in an article for people actually living on the edge of poverty.
“Food on the table AND a roof over your head? Getting a bit greedy there.”
“6 types of cardboard boxes that resist weather the best! Click here to find your new home!”

This is merely a tacky way of saying, “Stop living beyond your means.” Kinda like the, “Stop buying Starbucks.” thing.
I’d like to see the original context though.
