Explanation: Upon reaching India, Alexander the Great wanted to go on and keep conquering. His men, however, having been dragged off from their homes in distant Macedonia for some 12 years at that point, wanted to go the fuck home, and refused to march any further to distant and unknown lands.

Alexander threw a fit, but the army was tired, and an infinite crusade of conquest was not what they signed up for! So home they went. Alexander died on the journey back without ever reaching Macedonia. Guess the man was running on adrenaline and finally ran out.
