We cleared out my hoarder parent’s room so my brother and his kids could move back in with us. My father took ill and was hospitalized for over a week during the madness. On Christmas Eve we had to call 911 for my mother. She’s got a major infection and is being treated for sepsis. I am the only adult in our family that can drive. I got the christmas dinner together (My brother helped a TON.) and kept everyone going. I’ve made dozens of trips to and from the hospital between my parents in the last 3 weeks. I AM SO TIRED. But everyone is alive and mending. I think I did ok.
Holy shit that’s a lot. You had an ill mom AND dad to deal with, you’re the only driver and you still managed to pull dinner together. That’s incredible! You really were the Christmas hero and I’m so glad you were able to do it
