    It’s weird and confusing to count lives by years. Does a dead 10 yr old child’s missing life contain 8 child years and 56 adult years or 64 child years? And how much statistical sense does it make to take past life expectancy measures to account when so many people died before their time? Is the life expectancy of a Gazan still the same as one in 2022? If we’re counting years does it not make sense to also count the people who are alive but will die earlier due to the suffering they endured?
