It’s easy to get bogged down by how the bad people harm us, there’s enough of them ffs. Who has really helped you?

    My father. I know I was at least a mild disappointment, not being the son he always wanted, but he never showed that to me and taught me a lot about how to be strong in the face of adversity. (Including how to use knives to defend myself.)

    My mother, too, who was a refugee as a child whose entire family willed themselves into successes upon which my own life was built.
