There are more events in german history connected to the 9th of November, but these four are the most important ones. The date was in discussion to become Germany’s national holiday, but due to the Night of Broken Glass being too negative, the decision was made against the 9th of November and instead the 3rd of October was chosen (the date the reunification treaty was signed in 1990).

It’s not German history, but another horrible thing that I thought happened in this day. Maybe I confused the dates due to time zone differences
But I made this meme specifically about german history. It’s even in the caption. Also, it’s not about horrible events in german history, it’s about significant events. Neither the abdication of the emperor and the proclamation of the republic nor the fall of the wall were horrible events, quite the opposite!
