the functionality is known as progressive web apps or PWAs. Did this notification come up unprompted? You may need to switch off certain settings within Firefox if so.

Unprompted, unwanted, in the middle of a very intense game full screen, on a computer used as a game console I had to dig out a mouse to use.
Notifications went from usefully updates to unwanted ads infestation and the worst part is there is little to no granularity to notifications on most platforms, you either disable all notifications or none, there’s no way to just disable the promotional notifications like you can with emails so that the necessary stuff still comes through
