Children in the Gaza Strip are facing a lethal, hidden threat from the remnants of war, including unexploded ordnance and devices intentionally disguised as toys, according to Gaza’s Director General of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Muneer Alboursh.
Alboursh issued a powerful condemnation of the practice, stating that the deliberate placement of these devices poses an acute and ongoing danger to the youngest residents of the territory.
According to the Ministry of Health, items such as dolls, teddy bears, and colorful balls are being used to lure and injure children.
“When a child reaches for the ‘pretty toy,’ the horrific truth explodes in their face,” he wrote.
How will they spin it this time? Last time with the pagers it was the most ingenious James Bond spy maneuver most of the western MSM had ever seen, while in reality it’s just terrorism.
Really not sure if this is a reputable news source. Never heard of this website and as others mentioned here, there seem to be no reports on this topic in the bigger general press outlets.
With reputable sources I don’t necessarily mean western media, but also e.g. Al Jazeera doesn’t seem to report on this topic. Which would be huge if true.
ABC Australia reported that children mistook unexploded bombs for toys: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-10-31/unexploded-ordinance-israel-ibombs-gaza-clearance-war-remnants/105937500
That’s still heartbreaking and horrible, but quite a different story than Israel explicitly placing ecplosives disguised as toys.
If one of you found further proofs, I’d be happy if you could share some links.
Lot of libs showing up here doing more work to sourcebro than actually check the claim.
Looking at… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_East_Monitor … that source also doesn’t seem too objective to me TBH.
Again: I’m not saying that the original article is wrong. I just say that claims by any news outlet that a) isn’t too popular or b) that has a strong and well-documented bias in one direction must be questioned until proven right.
And MEMO, according to Wikipedia, has a long history of pro Hamas propaganda back until 2009, long before the current war even started.
I could very easily say that Wikipedia has a long history of pro-western propaganda…
No source will be ever completely free of a bias, but Wikipedia is still way more reputable than the two sources linked here.
Wikipedia has plenty of critical articles on what Israel is doing / has been doing in the past: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_war_crimes
And yet it denigrates the resistance to Israel’s crimes as terrorists, any outlet that reports on that resistance in a supportive light as untrustworthy, and neglects to hold Israel themselves to the same standard that all of that clearly demonstrates.
Israel can do no wrong because their imaginary friend told them that they’re special, and everyone else sucks.
Israel can do no wrong because
their imaginary friend told them that they’re special, and everyone else sucks.the world can’t get over their guilt over letting Germany murder 6 million Jews. And besides, brown people’s lives are inconsequential, especially if they pray to the wrong imaginary friend.Valid.
This reminds me of how Islamic terrorists trained in Pakistan were doing the same for decades… to India.
Jews are finally catching up
The Russians also did it when they were pulling out of Afghanistan. I wish I believed in Hell, so that I could take some pleasure in knowing these people are going there.
That’s a literal war crime.
Add it to the list.
I wonder what they claim the reason for this is. What just reason can they possibly claim? At some point the world needs to stand up and stop them.
Cruelty is the point. They want the Palestinians to leave “voluntarily”. Israel will torture them as much as possible to do so.
Occasionally I come across a headline that makes me start crying. This is one of them.
Well luckily this is a fake propoganda article. That never happened.
Both sides are trying to make each other look as bad as possible. Happens in every conflict.
I believe it when I see reuters or AP on this.
You guys always get so mad instead of realizing things aren’t as simple as good vs evil.
Israel killed all the reporters. But you demand a report.
Let’s see your source that there are zero reporters in Palestine.
“Banned from community”. Excellent. Happy trails, jerkbag.
Are you arguing that Israel didn’t booby-trap toys, or that they didn’t kill children?
Because you are right to question the integrity of the news source. I’ve personally never heard of royanews.tv… However, it is pretty well documented that Israel has been killing children.
Even if this story is false, the reality is still horrific. Whether or not Israel booby-traps toys doesn’t change the fact that they’re already killing children.
Clearly he’s challenging this particular article. Don’t strawman or move goalposts - it weakens your argument.
You guys always get so mad instead of realizing things aren’t as simple as good vs evil.
I disagree with you, based on the content of the original comment (quoted). They are clearly trying to challenge the notion that Israel is killing children in general.
No, they can challenge the notion that things aren’t as simple as good vs evil - it’s usually more like evil vs evil and bystanders get fucked. In this case, challenging the notion that Israel booby-traps kids toys, doesn’t mean challenging that Israeli bombs civilians including children.
Here’s a quote from Wikipedia about the group that put out this article:
Roya TV is strongly anti-Zionist and, unlike the Jordanian government, does not recognize Israel as a real country. In written pieces, the network often puts Israel’s name in quotation marks, or refers to the entire country as “occupied Palestine”.
Unless there are alternate sources that verify the authenticity of this story, it should be assumed to be propaganda. They even do the quotation marks thing in this very headline.
…and they’re right to do so? The land didn’t stop being Palestine just because a bunch of Western-backed Zionists decided to occupy it and commit genocide against the natives.
I believe that Israel soldiers are perfectly capable of this atrocities, as they have shown in the past and also reported by several humanitary organisations. But we have to take this news with a grain of salt, since there is no other news that confirms it.
Probably because Israel kills more journalists than any other country

love the propaganda map
west = freedom
non west = dictatorship
fucking Iran has more freedom than the united states and Israel combined
The Map is from pre-Trump ballroom and ICE Gestapo times.
man, were you born yesterday? america never had real freedom
I know, but press freedom was good in 50% before this year, now it’s converging to zero. In the US since ever, people had only freedom when they are rich
Oh, it’s the same map
The World Press Freedom Index only uses safety as one part of their score. It’s not a refutation of the statement you’re replying to.
But since you brought them up, here’s their breakdown of:
- the Zionist Regime https://rsf.org/en/country/israel
- and occupied West Bank + Gaza https://rsf.org/en/country/palestine
"In 2024, Palestine became the most dangerous country in the world for journalists. Close to 200 reporters were killed by the Israeli army in Gaza in the first 18 months of war, including at least 42 slain while doing their job, and dozens more detained in Israeli prisons. Trapped in the enclave, journalists in Gaza have no shelter and lack everything, including food and water. In the West Bank, journalists are routinely harassed and attacked by both settlers and Israeli forces, but repression reached new heights with a wave of arrests after 7 October, when impunity for crimes committed against journalists became a new rule. "
I don’t doubt it, this why I sais, that I believe the Israel solders capable to do any atrocity, even capable to leve bomb traps to childrens. But I also don’t like fake news, even not from Palestine, these are damage more than it helps, because Israel can use it against them. Because of this is specally in this notice to prove that it is true, only believing it isn’t enough.
Literally more journalists died in Gaza after October 7 than in 4 years of war in Ukraine. Israel has been intentionally targeting any journalists they can find in Palestine.
All in a span of two years in a city-state of now well below 2 million people and an area formerly the size of Johannesburg’s Inner City (130-140km², down from 365km²)
The source is strongly anti-Israel to the point of not recognizing it as a country. Given this bias you should look for other sources to support the claims made here.
any sources that aren’t strongly anti-israel is a shit source anyways.
I don’t like genociders to read me the news.
Well, is Israel denying it? If they are, that verifies this source as accurate.
That makes zero sense logically speaking.
LoL, maybe you need to check your algorithm?
Again a statement that makes zero sense in the context of this conversation.
No one is denying my allegation that RFK JR stole my KitKat, does that make my claim true or does the lack of a refutal not mean anything (it’s the latter).
What makes you sound ridiculous is your old arguments that will no longer work. Thankfully the people (both US republicans and democrats) are aware of the terrorist state that Israel has become. Go do your propaganda somewhere else, bot.
I’m no fan of the IDF but I can’t find any sources on this other than that add riddled link and a couple of Instagram posts with no real info.
The Gaza Health Office said it and they didn’t cite your claims, so it’s 100% confirmed and true.
If anyone wants to claim otherwise, Israel should let journalists into Gaza to prove otherwise.
Israel doesn’t get the luxury of banning journalists and then claiming that there is no way of asserting the truth.
Yeah its not super clear if the link you shared is in anyway a trustable source. People can just make posts and websites saying whatever they want. they included no links or anything to substantiate their claim. The website of the Palestinian Ministry of Health has no statement regarding booby traps but it is not updated regularly
After a lot of searching I have found the quotes from the health minister on what looks like his personal Facebook page, so I am happy (or sad) to believe the claims but its not good practice for the news sites to provide no source, especially in this day and age.
So basically like any Western outlet.
Stop being obtuse. Reporters should include sources with their claims. This is not a radical view to have. I’ve called out plenty of idf bs. It would be wrong to not hold everyone to the same standard.
