BTW the way refunds work is that steam withholds the money for a month to pay refunds with it. The publisher has no say, they just get gross - 30% - VAT - refunds.

TIL humans are broth.
Do they go away if you breath in deeply? Does it hurt more when you breath in? Then it may be back related. There are nerves going from your back under the ribs to your chest.

631·7 days agoI’m missing a bit the fact that this is not a law yet. This is the position of the commission, which the parliament will then need to approve and has to get past the ECHR as well most likely.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•How's my network privacy? Should I switch from a commercial router to PFsense or something?
11·9 days agoIt depends on your threat model or how I like to call it: the paranoia level. Since all connections go through the ISP router anyway you won’t really gain that much privacy unless you directly put a VPN on your router.
Here is what you could potentially stop leaking:
- MAC addresses of your devices
- DNS queries if you use unencrypted DNS
Also theoretically, the router could be an entry point to do attacks against your devices.
People who use pfsense mostly do that because they want more features. For example I have an IoT VLAN that cannot talk to the internet.
For privacy the simplest thing would be to try and put a custom firmware on your WiFi router, like OpenWRT.
Everything else is a bit of an overhaul. And in the end, you always have to trust that the WiFi access points manufacturers firmware does not exfiltrate data.
Also, I would just try plugging in to the modem and see what happens. Most likely you’re just wasting power right now with that ISP router.

21·12 days agoI’m not talking about slop games, I’m talking about giving single dev games a chance. Even successful single dev games make maybe 140000k which is 70k on your bank account. Having 18k more would make a massive difference for those games.

271·13 days agoThey could definitely lower their 30% cut for indie devs. Even just making the first 50k free would be huge (epic takes no cut for the first million).

Yeah you use buttplug.io and hook it up to your CI/CD pipeline.
The binary is called apt-get. There are others like apt-cache etc.
Apt is a script that just figures out which binary to use and passes the arguments on.
- apt update -> apt-get update
- apt policy -> apt-cache policy
