Was it some kind of secret that the MMA scene is chock full of right-wingers and fascists?

I don’t know what study these numbers are based on, but many of them only assess certain (typically younger) age groups. In my experience, the people coming out of school today in Germany are often quite good in English.
Edit: Looked it up. The data are not based on any study but the results of test takers that aim to earn a certain language certificate. So no specific age group but still likely younger people. The sample is completely self-selected, though, so it’s hard to say anything definitive. From the Wikipedia page:
The EF EPI 2024 edition was calculated using test data from 2.1 million test takers in 2023. The test takers were self-selected. 116 countries and territories appear in this edition of the index. In order to be included, a country was required to have at least 400 test takers.
And more:
The EF English Proficiency Index has been the subject of criticism in literature. From the point of view of methodology, it suffers from self-selection bias. Instead of testing the level of English proficiency in the population, it tests the level of English of those who self-select.
This seems like a very poor basis for a country ranking.

My brain couldn’t process this image for a solid 5 seconds.
The article is based on a discussion between two conservative writers discussing the role of feminism in the workplace (moderated by Ross Douthat, a conservative opinion editor at NYT). I think this is the transcript: https://www.nytimes.com/2025/11/06/opinion/women-workplace-feminism-conservative.html.
The moderator (Ross Douthat) also has a podcast, where this is included as an episode. I tried listening to it but stopped after a few minutes. The podcast itself is quite bad IMO, most of it being the conservative host interviewing other conservatives about conservatism. Amazing. Although I will say that I have heard one episode that was worthwhile, which was an interview with Peter Thiel, in which he (Thiel) went batshit insane.
Isabella is basically a Spanish name, so in this reality, she probably got deported by ICE after she lost her job at resident services.
It’s a unit of currency.
I think it’s more about finding a picture with similar clothes and hairstyles. The fact that they’re obviously not the same people is part of the joke.
Fake. Wenn das echt wäre, hätte der Eigentümer des Leiternherstellers noch eine großzügige Spende für Spahns Wahlkampf entrichten müssen. Als ob Spahn irgendwas ohne Gegenleistung macht…
Any fans of 3Blue1Brown? This open problem taught me what topology is

This is so true, and it’s actively harmful when students go on to university. Many students write like their main goal is to impress their readers. The opposite is true in academic writing, where this kind of flamboyant writing actually weakens the substance.
It’s okay, just say “no homo” after thinking the thoughts and ur good.

The Assassin’s Creed franchise nowadays seems more like one of those slushy machines at the mall that perpetually move the same ingredients around in a neverending cycle of despair and stagnation.
Nope.
Edit: Unless they replaced beef with fox (Fuchs) meat or it’s the owner’s name or something. In which case it would only be stupid.

As someone whose first TES was Morrowind, it set the bar so high in terms of worldbuilding, I was honestly a bit disappointed with the later entries into the series. Oblivion (more generic fantasy setting) and Skyrim (nordic with dragons) definitely played better, but the worlds were much less unique and memorable.
Also bad: When you ask XOR questions, but people think they’re funny and give you OR answers instead.
Even with affordable health care, which is the norm outside the US, you would still want to eat healthy and exercise.
