We currently couldn’t detect life on earth from nearest star and it is unlikely we ever can build anything good enough to. Which means if we discover life we know they are plenty advanced as to make our efforts uneeded as they can tell us a better protocol. Not that we have the ftl needed to reach them anyway.
True, but as a general rule until you get to the F350 class or higher states don’t charge that extra tax.
The F350 is the smallest vehicle where they charge by weight. Unfortunately they don’t check for how much you use it, so for the 6 times a year I use mine I’m paying $.10/mile - while someone else who uses it for hauling as a job is paying $.01/mile.
Everything starts with what my family needs/uses. Jellyfin for media. Grocy to track which kid has done their chores. Home assistant to make a nice dashboard in the kitchen to see the family calendar (still on google) and the chores. I’ve tried a few other things, but those are the ones important to me.
I only have leagally owned movies. I’m technically violating some law but since I can show the judge the originals and they are not available outside myhome they won’t dare go after me - a jury won’t convict and even if one would I’m a perfect ‘normal man’ who proved the law is unjust. I won’t be as well known as Rosa Parks in history but I’d be a perfect story to rally around to get the las changed and they won’t risk that
Again, I’m a clasical liberal. capitalism is a strawman so you can make arguements like the above. In some ways what I support looks like capitalism but only because and where it is a concequense of clasical liberalism.

That is why I object to capitalism - it is defined to be whatever socialists want to demean without reguard if that is even what is happening, if it is acceptable because of other benefits. It assumes capitalists are fine with corruption.
When in reality we are liberals who understand rule of law.
Communism did that when starting with fuedelism or other tyranical systems. when starting with clasical liberal societies it doesn’t improve much. There has never been a capitalist society so who knows how that would fare.

The foundation of classical liberalism is “life liberty and property”. The ability to own land is a large part of that.
There is no capitalist society, but many of them are versions of classical liberal - while the two have much in common there is a major difference at the core.
I don’t see what you are disagreeing with. There is a reason Ukraine isn’t attacking Hospitals in Russia even though they could: they know this and are figuring it out. Ukraine has plenty of targets for 100 tomahawks - but they know that will not directly end the war even though it is useful as part of the war.
I would expect the last 10% to take 90% of the work though. There are a lot of rough edges that just work weird. There is also a question of what is useful to get from that last 10%, or what should be done different despite being incompatible. (BSD utils are also an option to be compatible with instead)
I object to the term “capitalism”. The correct term is “classical liberal” (modern liberals are something else with very little in common). I boost capitalism because it is a result of freedom, and that also informs when I will limit my support for capitalism.

Atacks on the enemy has long been known to force their resolve to fight on. finding a useful target for missles is hard. Not that there isn’t a use for hundreds but that they are not as useful as many think.
Did they get the transformers though? Some diesel engines there is just wires between the cab and the transformer and no computers. You select which winding to use with a simple switch. These days I’d expect in-cab computers, but you can run without if you don’t care about safety (which we already know Russia doesn’t)
They are killing their labor force, and steam engines need more labor. (In the US diesel engines used more fuel than a steam engine when steam was retired - but it needed less people to run and so was overall a lot cheaper. I don’t know how Russia compares but I assume similar)
My supply managemet reys know that, I just know they talk about it is a routine thing and the suppliers salesmen act like it is normal. I’m not in those conversations often but I’ve heard them.
For that matter they have not sent travelers to us.
