What’s funny is that the god emperor enacted the age of stagnation in order to prepare for the coming big bad. Like we have so many fictional stories of AI being evil yet techbros, who likely know some of the stories, are rushing to create a Russo’s basilisk. Like they think they’ll be spared the “I have no mouth and must scream” treatment.

I just finished God Emperor and… I just can’t continue.
GEoD is my favorite. It was the last one my dad owned, he didn’t care for it. So it was the last one I read as a kid.
I was chuffed when I found out there were two more… even weirder ones.
Fortunately we’re all allowed to have our own tastes :-)
