Hot take: political pluralism is good actually
i dont understand anything…
It tries to communicate that libertarians aren’t fascists. Which is incorrect.
I’m really confused that the libertarian seems to be differing from the Democrats in the meme when Mamdani won the primary and is endorsed by the Democrats. I’m not doubting there are people who typically vote blue who wouldn’t like him (and some might not even vote because of it, or prefer Cuomo), but they certainly don’t fit the stereotypes of the characters on the left in this meme.
This is just “It’s too late democrats, I’ve depicted you as the foolish soyjak and the libertarians as the noble chad.”
Today I learned that voting for a democratic socialist is fascist.
libertarians literally don’t want social support to be a thing, how are they even close to a demsoc
But how is that in any way compatible with libertarianism?
I presume not “libertarian” in the old sense of anarchism. Even that doesn’t particularly like electoral politics at all.
I don’t have to agree with everything Mamdani says to realize that the establishment Democrat party is incapable of standing up to this administration. Hence the whole political pluralism thing.
Libertarians are overwhelmingly siding with republicans. Doesn’t that mean anything?
Uh no. Does the USSR mean anything when talking to an anarchist?
Trans rights are human rights Free Palestine. Abolish ICE.
That any clearer for you?
I’m really confused how someone who values human rights would vote libertarian.
No, but it’s also not American Libertarian
Correct. I’m an actual libertarian. Not a classical liberal.
then you probably shouldn’t use the American Libertarian flag for your meme
Nah. I like it.
You use (and say you like) the symbols of a specific political party but then defend yourself saying that you mean the ideology as a whole (and a huge “no true Scotsman”) while criticizing a different specific political party. Maybe don’t use those symbols if you wanna make your point better.
You’re not alone. This is one inane meme.
Ah, Mamdami. And his famously libertarian policy stance
Yeah that’s because most of them are.
If you’re in favor of Mamdani you’re probably not nearly as right-leaning as the vast majority of americans who would label themselves as libertarian.
Political pluralism unfortunately doesn’t really count for shit in a winner-takes-all election system that doesn’t allow proportional representation, but I digress.
