Six weeks ago, I was elected to Congress. I’m still waiting to be sworn in.
House Speaker Mike Johnson’s recess of the U.S. House of Representatives during a time of grave national crises is shockingly irresponsible. House Republicans have been on vacation for six weeks while our economy crumbles, federal workers go without paychecks, health care premiums skyrocket and funding for food stamps dwindles. This is negligent and cruel.
I am being civil. Some people are dumb and need to know they are dumb.

You can express yourself without being hostile. You don’t make this place better by being that way. This isn’t Reddit.
Informing dumb people that they are dumb is not hostile. It’s matter of fact. If someone is short telling them so is easy because it is objectively easier to express. When people are dumb it’s not. They tend to think they aren’t.
Calling people names is hostile. It’s your subjective opinion of them simply because you disagree. Stop trying to gaslight, that shit is so transparent.
