100% agree. It’s pro wrestling to him. I absolutely think he sees Mamdani as someone who is playing the game like him. Mamdani is very good at finding common ground and has talked to a lot of Trump voters so I’m betting that it was a very like I don’t hate you, I just wanted to win the election and deliver for New York and I think we can figure out ways to do that. No straight up I think this is the reason. Trump’s a TV guy through and through. He’s no stranger to having “fights” publicly to boost ratings. Look at how he talks about Bernie. Another guy who will call him an authoritarian one minute, but if he’s got something good for his people on the table he comes in and says yeah let’s get it done.

Trump literally doesn’t know what a fascist is. He might be okay with it if he did know. He just knows it’s not a great thing to be.
